Finishing

I’ve been quiet on this of late. There’s a couple of reasons for this. Firstly, I’ve been away in Edinburgh for a few days (blog to follow). Secondly, I’ve been working hard on the first drafts of Books 2 and 3 of the Father of Lies Chronicles.

Well, I’ve just finished.

And it feels nice.

I have a lot of work to do on the books still but it’s great to get my story finally fully down on paper (or in ones and zeroes as the case is). Oddly, all three books have exactly 22 chapters, excluding prologues and epilogues. I didn’t plan it this way. It was just a happy, and strange coincidence.

I’ve made loads of notes for myself of things I’ve forgotten to put in and how I can tighten everything up. But despite all that, I feel like I can relax now. Arthur’s world is finally there. It’s real. It’s complete. And it has an ending.

(Here’s the song I listened to on repeat while writing the final chapter.)
